PENSHURST WIND FARM
RES is developing a wind farm on rural land which is located approximately 3km south-west of the township of Penshurst in Victoria. The area of interest lies to the south of the Macarthur - Penshurst Road and to the west of the Penshurst - Warrnambool Road, as shown in the location map below:

The wind farm is situated within the Southern Grampians Shire and Moyne Shire Council boundaries.
The site is on private land which is currently grazed. Approximately 3% of the overall site area will be used for the wind farm infrastructure. When the wind farm is built, normal farming activities will continue mostly unaffected, whilst benefitting from some of the improved roads across the site. The wind turbines and farmland sit alongside each other, harmoniously and naturally, without conflict
RES is now in the process of completing the required environmental assessments for the project and intends to submit the planning permit application for the proposed wind farm and associated infrastructure in 2013.
